Information, or personal data, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymised data). We may collect, use and share “aggregated data” such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. This aggregated data could be derived from your personal information but is anonymised and not considered personal information as this data will not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your and your teammates’ personal data to calculate the team statistics. Such data would not constitute your personal data. We may also use anonymised, aggregated, statistical information for purposes that include testing our IT systems, research, data analysis, machine learning, improving our websites and/or developing new products and features. We may also share such anonymised information with third parties.
We understand that the security of your information is important to you. When handling information, security is paramount and we seek to ensure that information is adequately and appropriately protected. We have put in place appropriate, technical, and organisational measures to prevent accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to your personal information. The measures we use are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing information. Data is encrypted as appropriate and data access is restricted to authorised roles within the company only. Our data processing/storage standards and access are regularly reviewed.

We retain information we collect about you as long as we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (please see the table in the ‘Information we collect about you and how we use it’ section above). Usually, it is in our business interests to retain sports statistical information, though, where necessary, we ensure such information is updated.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process information, we will either delete or anonymise it or, if this is not possible at the time (for example, because your information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store the information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
